The Story
Once upon a time there was a little idea.
Its one dream in life was to one day grow up and become a successful small business. “But where to start?” it thought to itself. “Where will I find the energy? What if my customers don’t love me? What if I…fail?
But even though the little idea didn’t have all the answers, it knew that the only way it would ever have a chance of reaching success was to start out on the path.
And so it did.
It was slow going at first; and along the way the little idea suffered setbacks and mishaps, wrong turns and near-failures, and many, many frustrations. But nevertheless it began to grow. And as it grew, it encountered other budding businesses that had started out just as it had – as little ideas. And just like it had, these other businesses often struggled along the path to success.
Then one day the growing little business thought to itself, what if I shared with these other small businesses some of the things I’ve learned along this path? That way, we’d all have a better chance of reaching success…together.
And so it did.
Moral: whatever you desire for yourself, affirm in others and it will help you both.
